Kansas was able to add three runs in the sixth inning off an RBI single, a sacrifice fly and a wild pitch to lead 9-2.

McCann scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the inning after advancing to third base on a balk by Kansas pitcher Kevin Burk. He finished 2-for-4 with a run and a RBI.

Freshman reliever Kendall Wehrle made his first appearance as a Razorback, throwing three scoreless innings while striking out three.

"He did a great job tonight," Van Horn said. "Sometimes you have to throw the young guys out there to see what they do."

Arkansas was able to put two runners on with two outs in the final inning, but Wilkins struck out to end the game.

The series concludes Wednesday with a 3 p.m. first pitch at Baum, when Arkansas will start staff ace Dallas Keuchel, who picked up a win in the first game of the season. He pitched six innings while allowing two runs on four hits.

Kansas - who doesn't have any games this weekend - will turn to their staff ace Shaeffer Hall, who threw a no-hitter to start the season against Air Force.
