A new community apartment complex is coming to Fayetteville for students who want the whole college experience while living in comfort.
Place Properties is building Hill Place, a new community-style apartment complex that's opening in time for the fall 2009 semester. Located near the UA campus, just off Martin Luther King Boulevard, this complex pledges to offer "real value, a convenient location and, most of all, a fun place to live," according to its Web site.
For students looking for a place to study, the complex is set to include Wi-Fi, a cyber café and a study garden, and for those looking to release some tension after classes, Hill Place will include a 24-hour fitness center, two basketball courts, a walking/jogging trail and two resort-style swimming pools with cabana.
"I like the idea of a 24-hour gym and the jogging trail," UA junior Jenny Morris said.
Other amenities will include a game room with pool table, plasma TV and gaming stations; poker tables; Golden Tee arcade machine; and an outdoor grilling area.
Hill Place is offering individual leases and will allow students to choose their own roommates. The apartments are offered in three different lease rates - one-bedroom/one-bathroom, two-bedroom/two-bathroom and three-bedroom/three-bathroom - and will include keypad locking systems, furniture, high-speed Internet and cable.
Word of Hill Place has been spreading around to many students on campus.
"You can't beat the price when you consider all the amenities included," UA junior Stacey Trucks said.
Senior Chaney Prock said Hill Place "sounds more like a resort than an apartment complex."
Hill Place will host a grand opening of the clubhouse Tuesday, Feb. 17, for interested students. For more information about the new apartment complex, visit http://www.smartstudentliving.com.
