No. 16 Arkansas (4-1) jumped back into the win column in impressive fashion with a 6-1 trouncing of 44th-ranked BYU and Aurelija Miseviciute broke Arkansas' career singles victories record with her 108th win.

"I'm proud to see that my hard work each day has paid off, and it feels great to set a new record here in our home facility in front of the home crowd during my senior year," said Miseviciute.

With her 6-1, 6-0 win over McCall Jones, Miseviciute surpassed Maria Pavlidou, Brandy Brown and Beth Wagner on the Razorbacks all-time chart.

"[Miseviciute] continues to be the leader on and off the court for this team," Arkansas coach Michael Hegarty said. "We feel very fortunate to have her out here competing as a Razorback every match."

After dropping the doubles point the Hogs roared back with a dominating showing in the singles session racking up six straight-set wins.

Freshman Emily Carbone knotted the match at one with a convincing 6-1, 6-0 win over Chie Hayasaka. Less than two minutes later fellow freshman Kate Lukomskaya gave the Hogs the lead for good with her 6-0, 6-2 victory over the Cougar's Elizaveta Ezhova.

Senior Ela Kaluder put the Hogs within a point of clinching the match after she knocked off Romina Nedakovic 6-1, 6-0 and Miseviciute's record-breaking win clinched the victory for the Hogs who also received strong performances in victories from No. 66 Anouk Tigu and senior Nanar Airapetian.

Kaluder said that Miseviciute is the ultimate teammate and said that the team feeds off of her.

"Being her [Miseviciute] teammate is just awesome because she is always very positive," Kaluder said. "It's unbelievable and it makes everybody work harder."

The win came on the heels of a heartbreaking loss to No. 14 Notre Dame in the final of the ITA Weekend Kick-Off. Hegarty said the different in outcomes can be attributed to the Hogs singles play.

"Notre Dame beat us on singles," Hegarty said. "Today we beat BYU in singles."

Arkansas got off to a quick start in doubles action when the eighth-ranked duo of Airapetian and Tigu finished off a decisive 7-3 win over the Cougars tandem Jones and Megan Price.

But BYU's Doerr and Nedakovic evened the score with a 9-7 victory over the Hogs combo of Miseviciute and Kaluder in a matchup Arkansas led 6-3.

The Cougars completed the rally, earning the doubles point as Chie Hayasaka and Elle Carney topped the Arkansas pairing of Carbone and Lukomskaya 8-6.

"I thought we started really slowly with the doubles," Miseviciute said. "I wasn't expecting them to be that good in doubles. I think we did really well after we lost the doubles point. Our intensity picked up and that was impressive."

Hegarty said the Hogs' resilience showed up after the doubles session.

"Full credit goes to BYU for taking it to us in doubles," Hegarty said. "We struggled in doubles but I give my team credit for setting the tone of the match in singles."
