The 37-year-old Kurt Warner is still getting things done with two touchdowns in each playoff game, making a Super Bowl run a reality.
Warner actually committed to his family he would retire earlier in the season after Boldin took a helmet-to-helmet hit that left him motionless during a game in week four. But he decided his work wasn't done, and it has paid off for the team.
But the opposing Eagles have their fair share of oddities for a playoff team that has made it this far.
Head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Donavan McNabb were nearly booed out of Philly after the tie to the Cincinnati Bengals. And it was estimated that the Eagles had less than a 20 percent chance of making the playoffs heading into the final week.
The franchise quarterback was benched. But it doesn't end there. People were excited. And that excitement was for Kevin Kolb.
Kolb finished the game 10-of-23 for 73 yards and two picks; and luckily for Eagle fans, McNabb helped turn things around at the last possible moment.
Whether it be an unlikely playoff push or a 40 point loss late in the season, both teams just didn't look like they could make a postseason run.
However, one of these two improbable teams will make it to the Super Bowl; both have a great chance at winning it all.
And that couldn't be safely said just weeks ago.
