Casey Dick threw three costly interceptions and Arkansas lost on the road to South Carolina 34-21 Saturday.

A game that was as close as 20-14 midway through the third quarter turned into a near rout for the Gamecocks.

"That's a disappointing game for me," Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino said. "I'm just disappointed we couldn't put it together. We couldn't put the offense and defense together and play four good quarters of football."

Jordin Lindsey picked off a Casey Dick pass that set up a South Carolina touchdown toss from Stephen Garcia to Kenny McKinley.

"I saw the tight end come across my face, so I knew it was going to be a short pass," Lindsey said. "I was able to get my hands up at the right time and it stuck. Then I tried to get as far as I could with it."

The Gamecock defense hadn't broken up to that point, and the coaching staff was calling on someone to step up and take control of the game, and Lindsey managed to do just that.

"We had a big speech and knew that someone was going to have to step up and make a big play," Lindsey said. "Luckily I was the one that was able to do that for our defense. I'm glad it happened this game because we needed something to change the pace of the game. I had a lot of family and friends here, so it was good to do that for them and our fans."

South Carolina (7-3, 4-3 SEC) put up another score by way of a Mike Davis touchdown run to make it 34-14 and put the game out of reach for Arkansas.

Brandon Barnett notched his first touchdown of the year when he bowled in from a yard out to finalize the scoring.

"Whenever my number is called, I try to stay and be ready," Barnett said. "It was a hard-fought game. We had to go out and just give them our all."

Arkansas (4-6, 1-5 SEC) attempted an onside kick after the touchdown, but madness ensued as players threw punches and South Carolina safety Chris Culliver was ejected.

The Gamecocks jumped out early on Arkansas, going four plays in 44 yards after a poor Arkansas punt and wrapped it up with a 14-yard Garcia run for a touchdown.
