Dick then threw an interception, and South Carolina got a 54-yard Ryan Succop field goal out of it.
Clinging to a 10-0 lead, the Gamecocks allowed Razorback WR Jarius Wright to get free in the secondary. The Warren native hauled in a 70-yard touchdown pass from Dick on a play-action fake to cut the lead to three.
But Carolina answered right back, as its other quarterback, Chris Smelley, hit Jared Cook from 66 yards out to extend the lead back to 10.
"I thought both quarterbacks played pretty decent, all things considered," South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier said. "I wish that one would play better, extremely better, than the other. Chris [Smelley] was a little bit better defensively, but Stephen [Garcia] had some pretty good plays in there as well."
Carolina notched another Succop field goal to begin the second half, but then Arkansas cut the lead to six after a 15-play, 62-yard drive ended with a 4-yard touchdown pass from Dick to Mitchell Bailey.
It was Bailey's first career touchdown.
However, it would be all Gamecocks from there, as McKinley hauled in a 15-yard touchdown from Garcia and Davis scooted 13 yards for a score.
McKinley became the school's record-holder for career receiving yards on the day, and moved into second place in school history with his 19th career touchdown reception.
He broke the record that former NFL receiver Sterling Sharpe held.
"It's a big accomplishment just to be mentioned with Sterling Sharpe," McKinley said. "He called me when I broke his first record, and I was just like a little boy."
Dick also took a hit on a sack late in the second half, and he seemed a little shaken up, prompting Petrino to use Dick's younger brother Nathan at quarterback.
"Casey got hit, it looked like helmet-to-helmet," Petrino said. "When he came over, I didn't like the way he looked. I made the decision to put Nathan in. I liked the way Nathan operated. He did some real nice things. He made some good throws. He made some real nice decisions."
Arkansas now goes into an open week looking to heal its offensive weapons. Michael Smith went down with a stinger after only gaining 25 yards on seven carries in the first half.
"We needed a bye," Petrino said. "It's a good time for us to have a bye. We need to make sure we get healthy. It's a good time to get refreshed."
