Palin wasn't only spender
The political cartoon published last week represents the failure of the national press to do its job: report the news. The press has run out of fabricated ideas to smear Gov. Palin, so they stoop to a new low - attacking her clothing (which will be donated to charitable causes after the election).
While $150,000 is a lot of money, no one questions Sen. Obama's taste in fine suits or his and Michelle's taste for lobster and champagne at a New York hotel.
No wonder the ratings for such "highly regarded" periodicals have never been lower. I hope that this one doesn't follow the trend.

Nightmare is a reality
I would like to recognize the following individuals who are responsible for the sorry state of this once great country: George W. Bush, who screwed things up so badly for the past eight years that no one, not even God, could have won running as a Republican.
Monica Lewinsky, who saw fit to come out from under her rock when Hillary Clinton was running for the Democratic nomination.
Clinton, the one person who could have saved our nation, for putting the Democratic Party ahead of the U.S. by not running as an Independent candidate.
Oprah Winfrey, for using her talk show to encourage voters to back a person who refuses to place his hand over his heart during the Pledge of Allegiance and has connections to radicals who committed pervious acts of domestic terrorism, a pastor who said "God, damn America!" and an aunt living in this country illegally.
The ignorant voters who ignored the issues, track records and affiliations, instead casting their ballots strictly on the "R" word.
Barack Obama, for manipulating the American people, engaging in highly controversial - possibly illegal - fundraising, and bending the truth as all politicians do.
On Jan. 20, 2009, Obama will be sworn in as our 44th president. On Jan. 21, the White House will roll out the red carpet for Osama bin Laden and terrorists all over the world. Thank you, America, for making this nightmare a reality.
