And while there's still a long road ahead, the Auburn game is a perfect opportunity for the Hogs to see how far they've come this season.
The Tiger offense won't provide much of a challenge for the Arkansas defense, but limiting the already lackluster Auburn attack will give players a sense of accomplishment.
Arkansas' offense, on the other hand, will be the key in this game.
The Razorbacks' offensive line will have to be ready to handle the Tigers' blitzing schemes, something it hasn't shown it can do yet this season. If the line gives Casey Dick time to throw, it will be a major step in the right direction.
The variables seem to finally be adding up for Arkansas.
Playing a team with a bad offense - check.
Playing a team that just fired a coordinator - check.
Playing a team that just lost to Vanderbilt - check.
An Arkansas victory?
That's why they play the game.
