Penguin Ed's BBQ has been a Fayetteville favorite for decades, something that the restaurant embraces and something that the young and old alike can appreciate.
Ordering takes place over the phone next to each table, like it has for years.
The batter dipped fries, succulent BBQ, fried pickles, and fried pies all leave UA students and alumni coming back for more.
International
A Taste of Thai is just a short distance from the UA campus, located just off the square. The friendly service and small dining room create an enjoyable atmosphere at this Fayetteville favorite.
Because Thai food is a traditionally lesser-consumed genre of food in the U.S., A Taste of Thai offers many new and excellent dishes, as well as many familiar favorites.
J.D. China sits off of campus on Sixth Street, making it yet another easily accessible dining option for UA students. They have a large, excellent Chinese buffet, featuring traditional favorites. J.D. China also offers daily specials for a non-buffet dining experience.
Located on Dickson Street, Kosmos GreeKafe dishes out excellent Greek dishes.
It has established itself a Fayetteville favorite because of its traditional gyros, seasoned fries, salads, and other dishes and sides. Meal prices typically range from $6 to $10.
With a new school year, hopefully this small glimpse at what Fayetteville has to offer will be of assistance to new UA students.
There are, of course, many more excellent places that were left off the list.
With the help of this guide, we hope to make your first days at the UA delicious.
