Hogs need win at Georgia to put fast start back on track

The highlights of the Bulldog non-conference slate were home wins against ACC former powers Wake Forest and Georgia Tech.
Georgia head coach Dennis Felton teaches a slow, physical game by SEC standards, keeping possessions few and scores low. Accordingly, the men from Athens have the fewest assists in the league this season, but they have managed third place in rebounds. Georgia ranks fourth in the conference in scoring defense but is tenth in scoring offense, and the team wins games by an average score of 70-64.
"[The Bulldogs] play tougher basketball than their numbers show," Pelphrey said.
Felton is a creator of mismatches, employing a grinding substitution pattern which finds more than 10 minutes per game for eleven Bulldogs.
The Hog point guard duo of Gary Ervin and Stefan Welsh will be marking Bulldog senior Sundiata Gaines, who has tallied an average of 13.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists to 2.1 turnovers per game this season.
Humphrey leads Georgia scoring with 13.5 points per game.
Closer to the basket, Arkansas will have to find consistent answers for the physicality of Bliss and 7-foot junior Rashaad Singleton.
"[Our gaps at forward] have been too big if you're going to play in this league or play at a high level," Pelphrey said.
The biggest question mark for Arkansas heading into this weekend is the status of sophomore guard Patrick Beverley's jaw, which was dislocated in the waning moments of last Sunday's first half against Alabama. Beverley played 35 minutes of the South Carolina game Wednesday, but attempted only six shots.
