Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the Nov. 3 shooting at the Sigma Chi fraternity house.
John Chanthavong and Felipe Ibarra, both 18, were arrested Tuesday morning after two separate traffic stops. The two Fayetteville residents were taken to Washington County Jail on charges of committing a terrorist act. Chanthavong is also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after officers found Ecstasy in his possession.
The third suspect, Ysmael Aguilar, 18, was arrested Wednesday after he turned himself in to police. Aguilar, also of Fayetteville, is charged with committing a terrorist act.
The three men are suspected of being involved with the drive-by shooting that occurred at the Sigma Chi house, at the corner of Maple Street and Gregg Avenue in the early morning hours of Nov. 3.
Witnesses told the UA Police Department that three unidentified men came to a party at the Sigma Chi house and were escorted out by fraternity members. Shortly after the men left, three shots were fired toward the breezeway on the east side of the house.
No one was injured in the shooting.
