The bill was referred to the Elections Committee for review.
ASG Senate approved the 2007-2008 ASG budget at this week's meeting by unanimous consent.
The budget, presented by ASG Treasurer Dick Watkins, breaks down planned expenditures for year's total revenue of $256,140. This revenue is a combination of last year's remaining executive and Senate budgets and student fees.
Of this revenue, the Executive and Senate budgets comprise 16 and 3 percent, which are required by the ASG Constitution.
Executive and Senate expenses include salaries for ASG Executive officers, parking permits for officers and operating expenses such as room rentals and funds for ASG programs such as Fresh HOGS and homecoming.
The remaining 81 percent of the budget is earmarked for registered student organization (RSO) budgets and ASG allocations.
Any RSO not receiving funds from other university fees may apply for funding from ASG, according to the ASG Web site.
Any organization requesting more than $1000 must appear before the Senate Appropriations Committee and attend the second reading of the appropriations bill.
Programs funded by ASG allocation must be free and open to all UA students, according to the Web site.
