Lesson 7: SmartEnforcer (or whichever slightly dubious security program Resnet is going to use this year) does not like your computer. Get used to it. If you have Windows Vista, it will like your computer even less.
Lesson 8: Ask for iTunes gift-cards for Christmas because you won't be getting anything from Limewire. The RIAA is not your friend.
Lesson 9: No one wants to hear your ringtone in class, no matter how cool and "hip" you might think it is.
Lesson 10: If you have a laptop, take notes on it. Printing notes for your buddy is easier than finding a copy machine to copy them, and lending them to someone means you don't have any. Also, no one will ever find out how bad your handwriting really is.
So there you have it, 10 easy-to-remember pieces of advice about the technology here. The other outstanding pieces of deadly serious advice and information presented elsewhere in our esteemed student newspaper should be read quite carefully by the lot of you new students, (and most of the returning ones).
Some of it will come in handy, I promise.
Welcome to Arkansas.
