Inspired by the layouts of different schools such as Harvard University, Hyatt said that the first floor student forum, which doubles as a presentation room, can hold up to 500 people.

Adjacent to the ground level cafeteria, what Hyatt called the heart of the building, is a place for town hall meetings, panel discussions and a place for students to meet, work and relax all at the same time, Hyatt said.

The Career Development Center, which is intended to help students locate jobs and become competitive in the working world, according to the center's Web site, is located on the second floor of Willard Walker hall.

The center is complete with four board-room-style interview rooms, placement offices and a dressing room.

The suite members are working to organize September's career fair and to increase the number of graduates who have jobs at the end of their academic careers. Last year, 79 percent of job-seeking graduates were employed at graduation, said Heather Sprandel, director of the Career Development Center.

The Graduate School of Business, located on the third and fourth floors, contains project rooms for industry partnering, administrative offices and tiered-case classrooms, which can accommodate up to 70 people.

Occupants will have new devices at their disposal including entire walls that can be used as dry-erase boards.

The center will make networking between students, faculty and business partners easy through the use of a working library space, and another collection of working and meeting rooms, according to brochures distributed by the Walton College.
