The Arkansas net will be well-protected with SEC Defense Player of the Week Carrie Dillsaver standing between the posts. The award is the second for Dillsaver this year, who has broken five Lady'Back career goalkeeping records this year and is setting several season records, including her goal against average of 0.90, the lowest of any Arkansas goalkeeper at this point of the season.
Henderson said of the award, "I think that's a testament to how well we've been playing, not only her but the backline as well. It's really a team award."
The Lady'Backs take on South Carolina Sunday afternoon in Fayetteville. They will use Saturday for travel and rest, nothing else, according to Henderson.
Arkansas defeated the Gamecocks 2-1 last year in Columbia and will try to even the all-time series Sunday, currently led by the Gamecocks 4-3-0.
"These two games are going to be tough. The reality is if we are going to be go forward in the SEC, these are the teams we're going to have to beat," Henderson said.
The Lady'Backs have a legitimate shot to win the SEC Western Division. Henderson believes that two more wins in the last four games would give the team a good chance.
"This team has overachieved all year long, so why stop now?"
