More than 20 local businesses and individuals donated $10,000 worth of gift certificates and merchandise for this event. Items for sale include original paintings, jewelry, luxury bath and face products, concert tickets and restaurant gift certificates.

The concert will feature a varied program with performances from numerous musicians. Some of the performers will include a brass quintet, a woodwind quintet, a violin soloist, a piano soloist, a flute soloist and a marimba soloist.

The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the concert itself begins at 8 p.m. The entry price is $10 for general admission and $5 for UA students, faculty and senior citizens.

Proceeds from the concert will go to Habitat for Humanity for the Gulf Coast victims.

"Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action," according to habitat.org.
