Highway freezing causes deaths, wrecks
After 12 years of construction with its completion in 1999 and a $459 million bill, a four-lane interstate was built from Fayetteville to Alma over the Ozark Mountains to improve expediency. This interstate is what we know as Interstate 540.

Residents' Interhall Congress to introduce referendum against UA tobacco ban
UA smokers may be a step closer to being able to light up on campus without violating university regulations if the Residents' Interhall Congress passes a proposed amendment to the current tobacco policy.
The policy, which began in July, states that "smoking and the use of tobacco products (including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, smokeless tobacco and other tobacco products) by students, faculty, staff and visitors are prohibited on all UA properties.… Post the First Comment |
UA to distribute RSO funding
The applications for the second round of Registered Student Organization funding are out, and groups across campus are eligible to apply for part of the almost $25,000 still available for this spring semester.
