UA appoints new provost to oversee colleges, schools
A new provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs has been appointed for the UA.
Sharon L. Gaber will succeed Robert Smith, who retired as the UA provost in June. Robert McMath, dean of the Honors College, has accepted the responsibilities of provost until Gaber begins at the university in May 2009.… Post the First Comment |
UA student-to-faculty ratio remains 17:1
Despite an increase in the student population, the UA student-to-faculty ratio remains the same, and because the ratio makes a large difference in both education and recruiting, university officials said keeping it at a small level is a top priority.

Career Development Center directors prepare students for upcoming job hunts
With the current downward slope in the economy, the UA Career Development Center has recognized anxiety in students and is making plans to deal with their stresses in the job hunt, CDC director Barbara Batson said.
