UA appoints Pontious as new vice chancellor

The UA has appointed Bruce E. Pontious associate vice chancellor of development Monday. Pontious will begin his new role at the UA Sept. 15, according to a press release.

Residence hall vandalized last week

A Ft. Worth, Texas resident was arrested at the Buchanan-Droke residence hall Aug. 21 and charged with first-degree criminal mischief for dismantling a camera. No-tobacco policy to be tested at game

The campus-wide tobacco ban will be tested this weekend at the first home football game since its enactment July 1. While fans had been prohibited from using tobacco products inside the stadium, now they will also be prohibited from using them outside the stadium as long as they are on campus.… Post the First Comment

UA enforces scooter rules on campus

An increase in students using scooters on campus has brought a concentrated effort in enforcement of state laws and significant changes in parking policies, UA officials said.

Panhellenic tweaks recruitment process

Students still express dissatisfaction with schedule
Women's Panhellenic recruitment started last weekend with potential new members lining Maple Street in their pastel tees. However, this year's recruitment is slightly different from last, starting on the first week of school rather than the third.
