Ombuds provides Safe Zone for affectional minorities

As the UA reaches record enrollment levels, faculty and staff are coming together to ensure all students feel welcome on campus, through the University Ombuds Office's Safe Zone Allies Program.

RIC passes budget control legislation

Residents' Interhall Congress passed a bill to encourage "healthy spending" in residence halls during its meeting Monday.

Illinois shooter doesn't fit 'typical' profile

If there is such a thing as a typical mass murderer, the identified gunman at Northern Illinois University, 27-year-old Stephen Kazmierczak, did not fit the profile.

Student reports assault in fraternity house

UAPD
A student reported that several individuals held him down and punched him in the face at the Kappa Sigma Fraternity house early Saturday morning, police authorities said.

The student suffered minor injuries, including a cut lip and a bloody nose, said Lt. Gary Crain, public information officer for the UAPD. The student did not need to be taken to the hospital, he said.… Post the First Comment
