Tattoos more than trend, UA research shows
Tattooing is more than just a popular trend, a UA researcher said.
Over the past 50 years, tattooing has significantly increased in popularity. At least one-third of men and women between 18 and 25 have a tattoo, according to the 2006 Generation Next Study by the Pew Research Center.… 3 Comments |
Genocide Dictionary
A UA professor and his colleague decided to begin work on a dictionary of genocide five years ago. The project, however, turned into a 500-page encyclopedia covering more than 600 items in detail, according to a UA press release.
Samuel Totten and Australian colleague Paul Bartrop's "Dictionary of Genocide" offers a comprehensive guide to the study of genocide for undergraduates, graduates and others in the field of genocide studies, according to the press release.… Post the First Comment |
UA card office gets new location
The UA Campus Card Office moved to a new location, Room 427 on the fourth floor of the Arkansas Union in December. The new location provides easy access for students. Funding from Chartwells, a food service company, made that change possible.
Chartwells supports not only a UA dining services, but also Razorbucks, some kinds of registration and some other transaction fees, said Kelley Line, manager of the Campus Card Office.… Post the First Comment |
Sixth Street to be re-named after King
Sixth Street in Fayetteville will become Martin Luther King Boulevard next year. The Fayetteville City Council unanimously voted Tuesday night to change the name, according to several local news outlets.
