Hundreds of UA freshmen might have saved money and safeguarded their health this summer if they took advantage of free immunizations at orientation, said a Pat Walker Health Center official.

The UA soccer club team is about to start its season in the Oklahoma Collegiate Club Soccer League (OCCSL).

The team is called UASC United because of the diversity of their club members.

Gov. Mike Beebe to visit Fayetteville

Gov. Mike Beebe plans to hold a press conference on the UA campus at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the lobby of the Administration Building to discuss the recent addition to options for funding higher education in Arkansas.

Beebe announced yesterday that Arkansas high-school graduates with financial need can receive up to $1,000 per year to help pay for college under a new grant program, according to a press release from his office.… Post the First Comment

Indie band SPOON playing at UA fall concert

SPOON are scheduled to perform at the UA free fall concert sponsored by University Programs. SPOON will stop in Fayetteville Sept. 30, during a tour for their new album, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga.

Layoff prevention programs create new cause to worry

It is usually assumed that one will feel more secure about his or her job if they work in a place with a layoff prevention program, but according to UA research, this is not the case.
